I acknowledge the ancestral homelands of the Ohlone and Coast Miwok People as the traditional owners and caretakers of the land on which we meet, live, work, and visit. I recognize that the Ohlone and Coast Miwok People have not only had to endure genocide and colonization but their ancestral lands which extend from the San Francisco Bay to Big Sur which was stolen and exploited. I pay respect to their elders, past, present, and future. I also recognize that the indigenous community is alive and present. This is really a call for all of us to continue to learn and be better advocates for and stand with the indigenous communities. If you want to know more about the land you're on and the indigenous community of that land, please check out this link: https://native-land.ca/. To learn more about the Muwekma Ohlone People please visit their official website: http://www.muwekma.org/index.html.
