I recognize that the Ohlone and Coast Miwok People have not only had to endure genocide and colonization but their ancestral lands which extend from the San Francisco Bay to Big Sur which was stolen and exploited. I pay respect to their elders, past, present, and future. I also recognize that the indigenous community is alive and present. This is really a call for all of us to continue to learn and be better advocates for and stand with the indigenous communities.
