Cristal Alvarado,
LMFT, RPT™, CATP
I see therapy as a journey. I believe each client, individuals and families, know where they want to go and have the internal compass they need to get to their desired destination. As a therapist, I see myself less of a guide and more as a supportive presence walking alongside each client while they are on their journeys.

I provide short term and long term care for families and individuals of all ages and backgrounds; both in English and Spanish. I specialize in working with children ages 0-5 and have supported individuals and families with a variety of issues, such as: anxiety, depression, communication, and relationship issues.

I also have been invited by universities and organizations to provide trainings on topics regarding play therapy, working with 0-5 year olds, and providing culturally inclusive games in play therapy. I provide experiential trainings in order to facilitate a hands-on learning experience.
I studied at Santa Clara University, where I received an M.A. for Counseling Psychology and pursued the Corrections Emphasis to better serve at-risk populations. I am also a Registered Play Therapist™ and believe in the power of play when working with children and families. I am also certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional (CATP).

Susan Linn
"Play is the foundation of learning, creativity, self-expression, and constructive problem-solving. It’s how children wrestle with life to make it meaningful."
